On Saturday Evening I attended Eastern Front Theatre’s first annual game show fundraiser Hali-Wood Squares, which proved to be a great success. We were entertained by the hilarious antics of nine Halifamous stars: Cathy Jones, Jeremy Webb, Megan Leslie, Heather Rankin, Brad Dryden, Cyril Lunney, Bill Wood, Jackie Torrens and Michael Melski and we were guided through the games by Charlie Rhindress, our ever charming host. There was also a silent auction that included a wide array of fabulous items including some autographed by such famous people as Anne Murray, Lloyd Robertson, David Suzuki and Robert Munsch. There was also a live auction of a harbour cruise and dinner with Cathy Jones and the announcements of several upcoming, extremely exciting ventures for Eastern Front Theatre, including their completely revitalized and re-named theatre festival, formerly known as SuperNova, which is coming up in May.
