tomato & tomato
For something you have probably never seen before, scientific knowledge of Fringe Hit probability brings us Tomato (Kristin Slaney) and Tomato (Meghan Hubley), two clownish and exuberant additions to the Pier 21 Immigration Desk.
I saw this show twice on Monday, as it is only 10 minutes long and each show is different. The first one was a poetry dance show, wherein the audience created a poem by reading disparate lines from poetry books as Tomato and Tomato did an interpretive dance to them. The second show was a musical, featuring songs from the Broadway canon all coming up tomato.
Ultimately this is a really silly little show, with some inside-Fringe (and theatre) jokes that I think will really appeal to a certain audience.
Tomato & Tomato plays at the Pier 21 Immigration Desk (Upstairs) at the following times:
Wednesday September 5: 8:25pm and 9:55pm
It is only $2.00– to book tickets please visit this website or call (902) 999-7469 or visit the Box Office at the Seaport Farmers’ Market at Pavilion 20 on Marginal Road. Tickets are also available at the venue ONE hour before the show. Happy Fringe!
